An older building in Badlesmere, near Faversham with Kent peg tiled roofs and a slated roof that has had a complete overhaul.
The Kent peg tiles and slates were carefully removed and then the roofs were stripped of the old wooden battens down to the rafters. New roof felt and battens were then installed, and on the slate roof new slates were laid on.
The carefully removed Kent peg tiles were then re-used on the other roofs as before, with previously salvaged Kent peg tiles used to make up the shortfall.
New lead flashings and valleys were installed and the large chimneys were re-pointed. The chimneys were also secured to the roofs for future extra stability.
